Resort and Spa has 120 rooms and suites, a full-service spa, tennis courts and swimming pools. The city of Del Mar is known nationally for its thoroughbred racetrack. L'Auberge, meaning "the inn" in French, is situated on what was once the historic Stratford Inn, which became the Hotel Del Mar. The Hotel Del Mar had a long history of catering to the Hollywood elite.

Track is less than 2 miles away. Championship golf courses, Torrey Pines Golf and The Meadows at Del Mar are 5 miles away. The San Diego Lindbergh Field Airport and attractions including Seaport Village, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and the Gaslamp District are all about 20 miles or about 35 minutes away from the resort.

L'Auberge Resort Accommodations

The L'Auberge Resort has 120 rooms including eight suites. Room amenities and services include three telephones, a sitting area with desk, wet bars, marble baths, private balconies or patios and twice-daily maid service. Many rooms have fireplaces.

L'Auberge Resort Suites

The L'Auberge Resort has eight suites

including the Jockey, the Actors, the Stratford and the Valentino. The Village Suite is 500 square feet, has 2 rooms and one and one-half baths. The Celebrity Suite is about 700 square feet. The Directors Suite is about 800 square feet. The Presidential Suite is over 1,200 square feet and features a living room with fireplace and large dining table, a two-view balcony and a four-poster bed.

L'Auberge Resort Dining

A complete renovation of the L'Auberge Resort restaurant was completed in November 2000. The restaurant was named after Jacob Shell Taylor, Del Mar's first hotelier who was known for his gentle spirit. J. Taylor's features fresg Californian cuisine

and over 70 types of Californian wines. J. Taylor's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as Sunday Brunch. Durante Pub serves drinks and lighter fare.

Additional Facilities

The L'Auberge Resort has a full service spa offering seven kinds of massages, body and skin treatments, manicures and pedicures, facials, sauna and steam rooms, Yoga and aromatherapy. The resort also has an on site French bakery, florist, boutiques, two lighted tennis courts, jogging paths, personal trainers and fitness programs.
